Mesa boys and girls wrestling celebrated the largest and most successful wrestling teams in school history. Head Coach Robert Lindsley and his assistant coaches: Rafael, Thomas, and Teresa led the varsity girls to a 5-1 season- including becoming League Champs! The girls increased participants and had a record eleven wrestlers this season- making it the largest in numbers for the girl’s team! Both teams combined sent 46 wrestlers to league finals and had three league champions. Thirty wrestlers qualified for CIF and two qualified for the Masters Tournament. Leilani Preciado secured her second league title and placed fourth at CIF. Caleb Penagos earned his 1st league title and went on to place fourth at CIF. Savannah Anonical earned her first league title. Veronica Soto earned her first league title as a freshman. Lance(8th), Ifeanyi(6th), and Even(7th) all stood at the podium placing at CIF . We are proud of all of them and know the future of Mesa wrestling is bright
