Palm Desert won the 2016 Redlands Winter Classic Tournament Saturday with a decisive 14-4 victory over Murrieta Mesa. The Rams had beaten San Gorgonio, Redlands and Beaumont and ended up with the third place trophy after having fallen to Southwestern league opponent Chaparral 10-9 earlier.

“The girls played well all three days. We’ve been working hard and it’s showing” said Murrieta Mesa Coach Audra Woods. “We lost to Chaparral by one in sudden death to take 3rd overall. Kate Fox led our team in all stats and is playing on an entire new level this year”.
