MURRIETA – Kate Fox does most of her scoring close to the cage, but there wasn’t enough time left on the clock for Fox to swim down to the two-meter spot.
Fox received a pass from Tessa McCart near the middle of the pool, and she skipped a shot into the cage with 9.8 seconds remaining to lift Murrieta Mesa past Temecula Chaparral, 7-6,Thursday in a Southwestern League match.
“When Kate gets the ball in her hand, she’s probably going to finish,” Murrieta Mesa coach Audra Woods said.
