About Coach Steffens

 

Coach Steffens grew up in a water sport family! both parents swam and one played water polo. Coach Steffens started swim when she was 7 years old. she swam until 8th grade where she decided she wanted to start a new sport. WATER POLO. Coach Steffens Played water polo for Murrieta Valley High School her freshman year on JV. the following year she transferred to Vista Murrieta High School and made Varsity for her speed in the water. Coach Steffens' Junior and Senior year of high school, she made First-team all League both years and Captain. Not only did she play for her high school team but she also played for CHAWP (a well known club team). She traveled to San Jose for JO's and played in many tournments for the 18U girls.

Coach Steffens found her love for the sport through her family and the family that she found within the sport. Not only did she find a love for the sport but she found her calling, helping students. Coach Steffens aspires to be an english teacher and a coach. Coach Steffens finds her true calling through coaching, teaching, and helping everyone that she can.

About Coach Teebken

Coach Teebken is in her second season as the Boys and Girls Junior Varsity Water Polo Coach. In high school, she played water polo at West Valley High School, where she held multiple CIF appearances. She also played club with Elite and swam competitively. She completed her student teaching for her credential in English at Mesa, where she is also a Resident Sub. She believes in the ability of the sport to forge strength and community. She is honored and motivated to serve and uplift student-athletes as they work to achieve their goals.
